As the Agency Director since 2022, I am honoured to lead the Digby/Clare Home Support Agency (DCHSA), a vital non-profit organization serving our community since 1996. Committed to providing home support services to clients across Digby County, including Digby Neck and Islands, Digby town/municipality, Weymouth, and Clare municipality, DCHSA operates under a comprehensive mission to deliver quality care while upholding the dignity and independence of our clients in their own homes. With a vision to maintain the highest standards of healthcare, our agency is guided by a philosophy rooted in cost-effectiveness, client centred service, skilled and compassionate staff, safety, continuity of care, community partnerships, and respect for diversity.
Aligned with our mission, DCHSA's goals and objectives focus on assisting individuals to live independently, delivering round-the-clock service to Continuing Care Nova Scotia clients, providing consistent care to clients with special needs, ensuring service equity, maintaining service quality and safety, fostering positive team dynamics, ensuring a safe work environment for our dedicated staff, and continually improving the quality and standard of our client services to better support more clients.
